You’ve planned the party with the friends all attending. Maybe it is even a planned surprise party! How wonderful. Amazing Memories has had experience handling slideshows, slide shows, photomontages, or photo montages (depending upon what you refer to it as) for all birthdays from 1 yr all the way to and above 100th year birthday parties! What was the most exciting? Hard to figure. One year old birthday slide shows yield a lot of photos and video and really a journey! Can  you imagine looking at your year old sitting there wondering what is this goey stuff they are feeding me (cake) and looking at a combined video and photos of the first year of your little boy’s life. Check out the video of  you giving birth (well just your face and the swaddled cloth baby on your chest) and then comes some photos of when you arrived home and each day thereafter for the next year! wow! Don’t forget the video of the little lad in his speed racer walker running from room to room- what energy you had to have! or still need!

What about the 100th birthday party! What joy to journalize the life of a 100th year young lady! What joy in deed to show the photos of a life time along with some video taken by a grandson at an interview of grandmother. Grandmother speaks about her days of dancing (We are jealous) in Coney Island and at the Roseland ballroom in New York or sneaking into Radio City Hall. What stories this grand lady tells.

You have this party planned or in the planning stages. Plan some time to show a video about the person in honor. How is this shown? DVD with a DVD player hooked up to a big screen TV- or if you are holding the party in a hall or event area they probably have this equipment ready for your use ot you can rent a DVD player/projection combination (and hey, don’t forget the screen as it wouldn’t look really great showing it on a leopard wall ).

What to do next? call Amazing Mary. She is the specialist! She will tell you these guidelines for getting set up for a slide show:

Gather all the photos (from various friends, relatives, everyone) and if you need a notation on them write on a post-it and stick it to the back of the photo.

We can put them in order or you can. If you want to put them in the order you’d like them to appear in the photo montage slide show go for it. Put each section (birth, teen, adult, married, children) in a plastic baggie with the title on paper in the front of the plastic bag.

 Why Cancer Support? Well, It all started two years ago this month (March 09)! My husband was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pains. Colon blockage. Surgery a day later revealed that he had stage 4 Colon cancer that had metastisized to the liver! Oh MY! We have been thru a lot in the past two years and the cancer journey is not over. We learned a lot and because we did we want to pass the information along to those that are in their journeys and searching for answers or someone who understands what they are going thru. We do! What is a photo montage? A photo montage is better known as a slide show, slideshow, photomontage, montage or presentation of photos.

The process of Photo Montage is taking your photos (from 35 mm, slides, digital, paper) and arranging them along with video clips, memorabilia, choreographed with music to set the mood along with transitions, panning and zooming as well as “Scrap book” style (old fashion) and “Hollywood” style special effects such as curtains moving, sparks flying, jets sounding, photos spinning, chapters, captions and rolling credits (just to name a few). No more plain, boring slide shows with pictures that change from one picture to the next like the ones our family used to show in the dark (unless you want them that way using our Simply Amazing package). Put your family photos in the movies! If you are looking online for other companies offering photo montage slide shows you will find all are not alike. $.99 per photo (50 minimum) for the Amazingly Simple Package (simple slide show from your photos plus transitions); $1.25 per photo (50 minimum) for our Amazingly Royal Package with everything included (FREE SCANNING, your photos, your music our special effects, transitions, panning & zooming, one title, 5 chapters,  10 captions &  moving credits for the music).  For extra chapters, captions or movie credits let us know what you have in mind and we will give you a quote. Also extra costs apply if you need extra copies of your Photomontage Video Show, want to add video clips or you want us to find music for your show or need to add a puzzle feature to your show. Everything else is included (yes, even scanning if needed)! Have all digital photos? There is a fast simple way of uploading directly to us via online via www.pando.com. This process allows us quick access to your photos so the turnaround time is cut in half and you receive your finished product quickly!

 

Extras-

Digital Camera Video Clips

We can easily add digital camera video clips to either of the above packages. We recommend clips of 2 minutes or less. Keep in mind that digital video takes more room than digital photos. Price is $15.00 for each clip up to 2 minutes. We can also add portions of your home movies to your photomontage show and the pricing depends upon the video editing involved and the home movies must be transferred to digital video (we can help with that too!) first.

Music:

If you provide your music on CDs (see FAQ), the price of choreographing music to your photos is included in the Amazingly ROYAL package and can be added to the Amazingly Simple packages for an additional fee of $3.50 each song. If you do not have original music CDs but would like to have music included, we can purchase the music online on your behalf. Please let us know on the Order Form (we will provide) what type of music you prefer (or if you have specific songs, artists, let us know the titles and names and we will do everything to locate them for you). There will be a charge of $3.50 per song for the ROYAL package for music we purchase on your behalf and $5.00 per song charge for the SIMPLE package.

Momentos:

Add Momentos to your DVD Photo Show – invitations, bulletins, tickets, brochures or flyers can be added by either having these items scanned onto a CD as a JPG or TIFF file (with minimum of 300dpi for anything 4×6 to 8×10; 600dpi for smaller items) or by sending us your momentos and we will scan them for you and place it in the show. The momentos will be returned along with your finished show and pictures. The price for each momento (maximum size of 8 1/2 x 11) is $1.00 each item you provide on CD or $2.00 each item we scan.

Gift Certificates:

Gift Certificates are another Amazing way to give someone a Slide show Photo montage DVD show. The gift certificates can be purchased for $50.00 each. Of course our Gift Certificates can be applied towards our other services we provide as well!

Rush Orders:

Rush orders are priced at $50.00 each Show (200 photos &less).

Extra DVD copies:

We provide one custom DVD cover (custom artwork designed for your project) with each video (slide show photomontage or movie transfer). A custom case cover is also included with all photo montage slide shows.  Each additional DVD is priced at $15.00 each for Slideshow photomontage video shows and $20.00 for movie transfers.

The DVD Photo Show Shipping charge is a standard $10.50 each. There is extra shipping charges for any photos, photo and/or music CDs, memorabilia, etc that needs to be returned to the client.

How it all started-

Amazingly, it all began many years ago first with the love of photography. Most always, we had the need to take pictures of scenery but also of family and friends as so to capture the moment and freeze it forever. It was the SLR 35 mm camera that was used, with a camera bag full of different lenses and special filters to make magic out of the photographs. And, of course slide film was the choice back then because it held such richness and the resulting slide-photos were easily shown on a wall or screen with a slide projector- those were the old fashioned slide shows.

Along the way there were times of creativity with the wedding business involving catering and floral designing and wedding planning. Of course there were lots of photos taken at those occasions.

And then came the wedding of the century- well we thought it was! We had the best photographer at our wedding! Not only did he take wonderful photos but he also changed our lives by giving us a DVD with our photos as a slide show complete with music (our favorite music that we had handed out at the wedding reception). This was many moons ago but even today we put this DVD into our DVD player and sit down to watch and listen and watch it at least once a month! And we haven’t picked up our wedding album from the shelf for probably close to five years!

After the wedding came our first digital camera. Boy, it was hard to buy that first digital. We were die hard old fashioned SLR carriers (or so we thought). Now we can’t do without our digital camera and they keep getting better and better.

The first problem we found with having a digital camera was how and where to store the photos. It was great that the computer designers were putting out high volume hard drives. Good thing- They must have seen this coming! So we started gathering all these photos from trips and weddings and family gatherings, etc. and okay they are in the computer but then what? Sure when people came over we’d say come and see our photos (they would of course say didn’t you print them? of course not then we would have to get albums and who had the time) and they would gather around the computer- oh how cozy is that!? So we kept seeing the wedding video and we thought why not find a way to put our photos in slide shows like our wedding photographer did. So a hunt was on for great software. Many were tried and they were okay but just that- okay….Everyone would have the same slide shows…sounded boring to us….and being the artistic people we are and the perfectionists also we set out and finally found the perfect software and wow what a difference! We’ve got to tell you it was truly amazing what we were able to do with our photos. Our friends and relatives loved our DVD shows and we kept hearing you missed your calling, you should sell these to people, and Amazing was born. We began by making free shows for relatives and friends and when we said we were going into the business they made their orders gladly. And, now this is where we are today-Helping people take their prized digital photos, organizing them for them because people simply don’t have time and then creating Awesome, Amazing Video DVD Shows and showing their photos with movement and choreographed music. We also take peoples paper photographs and scan them and make great shows or we can take older photographs and restore them or manipulate them (take someone out of the photo) and then put them in a show (or not). Mostly it is a labor of love as we usually do lots more hours of work than we should for the price we charge. Only because we get to know the people thru their photos and we feel like one of their family and as a family member we want our product for them to to be perfect. We also handle transferring old home movies (reel to reel or cartridge 8mm) or VHS to DVD and we also can edit your home films removing the bad parts and making chapters, scenes, titles so that it shows on your TV just as a movie you would buy at the store. And, don’t forget our photos to canvas service where we can take your photos and transfer them to canvas material and mount them museum style on wood (you don’t need a frame with these pictures!).
